I am a huge fan of the EHX Russian muff but it takes up to much space on my board plus it is a one trick pony with terrible quality control due to the inferior input/output jacks..I generally go through 2 Russian muffs a year ..Of all the Fuzz pedals i have checked out i like the Fuzz God the best next to the Russian muff for tone.. I have not had much time with it to experiment with settings to see if is can get the dark Russian Muff tone out of the Fuzz God..I would really like to have the versatility, smaller foot print and dependability of the Fuzz God but the Russian muff is a main stay of my signature tone...So can anyone tell me if they have come close to the Russian muff tones with the Red witch Fuzz God II ?

In my opinion the Fuzz God II can do almost anything you want it to. Come to my house, I've got whisky and beers. We'll hang on the porch as the good men stare

I don't own the fuzzgod.. but it is a peculiarity of RW to be very versatile.. so i think.. you could get the sound you are searching for.. Gabriele Cento guitar player he is ending his advanced studies at Cpm of Milan arranger and performer, interested in musical technology and recording. Approaches to the music profession recently.

from memory the russian big muff is brighter than it's usa counterpart. the best way would be to go to a dealer that has both and compare them to the fuzzgod. the fuzzgod can't get into the usa big muff territory for bass depth of fuzz although there is also a trimpot at the back of the fuzzgod you could also play with. but you will not be disappointed with the fuzz god it's a beast of a pedal and simple which is why i got one

Don't know if you'll read this, being an old thread and all, but your big muff is a straight forward dial in fuzz, your fuzz god is a sumo wrestler, wanting to crush all fuzz pedals, you get early 60's fuzz, you get 70's fuzz, you get shoe gazer fuzz (if tweaked JUST right), you get doom wall of fuzz, you get dirty fuzz, you get clean fuzz, you get any fuzz you want, even robot smashing fuzz, I have a Russian big muff and I sold it cause I was, and still am, infatuated with the gods of fuzz. Do your self a favour and go purchase one from your local devil worshiper.
